My name is Bill Emory, and I’m running to serve District 62B in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
I am a father, organizer, and policy leader. I live in the Powderhorn neighborhood with my wife Erin, our daughter, and our two cats.
I have spent years organizing around building power with working people, climate and environmental justice advocacy, fundraising for affordable housing, and working to elect bold progressive leaders like Zuki Ellis, Irene Fernando, Mary Moriarty, and Ilhan Omar.
I want to thank Rep. Hassan for her tireless service on behalf of our communities. I wish her and her family the best in their future endeavors.
I’m running because I envision a South Minneapolis community where everyone can find an affordable place to call home. Where healthcare is accessible to all and free quality educational opportunities begin soon after birth and carry through college and beyond. A community where all residents can enjoy the freedom of mobility and every worker has the right to a union. A community free from exploitation and one where people can seek the care and support they deserve in times of crisis.
I know that getting the leadership in St. Paul to listen to the needs of our community can be challenging. That’s why I’m committed to holding legislative leaders accountable, regardless of their party affiliation, to funding the revitalization of Lake Street, securing investments in affordable housing, and taking urgent climate action to safeguard our future.
This work cannot be done alone. If you support my vision for our South Minneapolis community, please join us for the SD62 DFL Convention on Sunday, April 14 at Washburn High School.
Can’t make it to the Convention or live outside of District 62B? You can support my campaign in other ways such as signing up to volunteer or by making a financial contribution.
I look forward to meeting you on the doors, on the calls, and at convention, and I promise to work hard to earn your support.
Thanks,
Bill Emory
